The Zanesville Water Department provides potable water service within the corporate limits and designated service areas. All buildings within 200 feet of a water main shall be connected. Service connections and meters remain the property of the Water Department. No person shall make an unauthorized connection, tamper with a meter, or use water through a bypassed meter. Water rates are established by ordinance and billed monthly.
