The City operates a public water supply system serving all properties within the corporate limits. All buildings within 100 feet of a water main shall connect to the public system. The property owner is responsible for the service line from the main to the building. Water meters remain the property of the City. Tampering with or bypassing a water meter is a misdemeanor of the third degree.
