§505.05 Dangerous Dogs
A dog that has bitten a person without provocation or killed another domestic animal shall be declared dangerous by the Chief of Police. The owner of a dangerous dog shall maintain the dog in a secure enclosure at all times, carry liability insurance of at least $100,000, post a warning sign on the premises visible from all points of entry, and muzzle and leash the dog when outside the enclosure. Failure to comply is a misdemeanor of the first degree.
