§505.03 Dangerous and Vicious Dogs

A dog shall be designated as dangerous if it has, without provocation, caused injury to any person, or has killed or seriously injured another domestic animal while off the premises of its owner. The owner of a dangerous dog shall maintain liability insurance in the amount of not less than $100,000 covering any damage or injury caused by the dog. A dangerous dog shall be confined in a locked enclosure with a top and bottom and shall be muzzled and on a leash not exceeding four feet when outside the enclosure.
