§505.01 Definitions Relating to Animals

As used in this chapter: "Animal" means any non-human living creature including domestic and wild species. "At large" means off the premises of the owner and not under the control of the owner or any other person by leash, cord, chain, or other means of restraint. "Dangerous animal" means any animal that has, without provocation, bitten or attacked any person, or has been certified as dangerous by the Health Officer. "Kennel" means any establishment where four or more dogs over four months of age are kept for sale, boarding, breeding, or training.
