Chapter 521: Nuisances

No person shall maintain a public nuisance within the Village. Given the compact nature of the island community, conditions that might be tolerable in larger municipalities may constitute nuisances in the Village. Nuisances include excessive noise after 11:00 p.m., accumulation of trash or debris visible from a public way, failure to maintain premises in a condition consistent with the surrounding neighborhood, and any condition that attracts vermin.
