Chapter 903: Sewers

No person shall discharge into the public sanitary sewer system any substance that may cause damage to the sewer or interfere with the treatment process. Prohibited discharges include gasoline, fuel oil, paint, grease in quantities that may cause blockage, and any substance with a pH lower than 5.5 or higher than 9.0. Sump pumps, downspouts, and foundation drains shall not be connected to the sanitary sewer.
