All properties within the Village shall be connected to the public sanitary sewer where available. Due to the island setting and sensitivity of Lake Erie, strict discharge standards apply. Grease traps are required for all food service establishments and shall be cleaned at least monthly during the tourist season (May through September). No person shall discharge hazardous chemicals, boat waste, or any substance that may impair the wastewater treatment process.
