Chapter 1305: Property Maintenance

All buildings shall be maintained in a safe and habitable condition. Exterior walls, roofs, and foundations shall be maintained weather-tight and structurally sound. Plumbing, heating, and electrical systems shall be maintained in safe working order. Every dwelling unit shall have heating capable of maintaining 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Handrails shall be provided on stairs with four or more risers. Smoke detectors shall be installed on each floor.
