The following standards shall guide the Commission in its review of applications: the height of proposed structures shall be compatible with adjacent buildings, proposed materials shall be consistent with the historic character of the district, new construction shall respect the existing pattern of setbacks and spacing, roofing materials shall be compatible with those found historically in the district, and window proportions shall be consistent with the prevailing character of the streetscape.
