All new development and redevelopment projects disturbing more than 5,000 square feet shall implement stormwater best management practices to retain on-site the first one inch of rainfall. Permeable pavement, rain gardens, green roofs, and cisterns are acceptable practices. The Village encourages disconnection of downspouts from the combined sewer system and will provide rain barrels to residents at cost upon request.
