Property owners abutting public sidewalks shall maintain sidewalks in good repair and free of hazards. Snow and ice shall be removed within 12 hours after the end of snowfall during daylight hours. Failure to remove snow and ice shall be a minor misdemeanor. The City Engineer may order the repair or replacement of defective sidewalk segments and if the owner fails to act within 60 days, the City may perform the work and certify the cost to the County Auditor for collection.
