No person shall remove any tree with a trunk diameter of six inches or more measured at breast height without a permit from the Village. Trees within the public right-of-way shall not be removed without Council approval. Any tree removed shall be replaced with a species appropriate to the island environment at a ratio of two replacement trees for each tree removed. The Village shall maintain a list of recommended native and adapted species.
