This ordinance shall be known as the Zoning Code of the City of Marietta. It is enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, morals, comfort, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the City by regulating the location, size, and use of buildings, the area of yards, courts, and open spaces, the density of population, and the location and use of buildings and land for trade, industry, residence, and other purposes.
