A Wellhead Protection Overlay District is established to protect the Village's groundwater supply. Within the overlay district, the following uses are prohibited: underground storage tanks for petroleum products, junkyards, landfills, and chemical manufacturing. New development within the overlay shall demonstrate that stormwater management practices will not contaminate the aquifer. Existing nonconforming uses shall register with the Village and submit a spill prevention plan.
