The R-3 Multi-Family Residential District provides for apartments, townhouses, and other multi-family dwellings. The minimum lot area shall be 3,000 square feet per dwelling unit. Buildings shall not exceed three stories or 40 feet in height. Each unit shall be provided with 1.5 off-street parking spaces. Common open space equal to 20 percent of the total lot area shall be provided and maintained by the property owner or homeowners association.
